YANGAROO Inc.’s (OTCBB: YOOIF) patented Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS) has made more than five million deliveries of more than 11,000 songs to radio stations representing more than 25 U.S. broadcast chains. The company today announced it has integrated its DMDS with OMT Inc’s iMediaTouch Radio Automation Software that will significantly expand YANGAROO’s distribution reach.
Digital and entertainment media has rapidly evolved as digital transfer becomes more convenient and popular. YANGAROO’s Web-based delivery system is free to the radio industry and replaces the physical distribution of music. Radio stations can now receive broadcast-quality music and promotional materials digitally, directly from independent and major record labels.
iMediaTouch has users spanning more than 1,500 radio stations across the United States; those users can now import new music available through YANGAROO’s DMDS, loaded directly into their iMediaTouch music library.
“DMDS’ integration with iMediaTouch will further streamline the process of getting new music from record labels and artists to airplay,” John Heaven, president & CEO of YANGAROO stated in the press release. “It will provide stations with the most up-to-date information on the music directly in their libraries and seamlessly provide images and meta-data for display with their Web radio services.”
DMDS offers a Web-based delivery option utilizing biometrics, high-value encryption and watermarking, warding off possible pirating. The technology replaces the physical distribution of musical recordings, making the system more effective and less costly.
“Integrating iMediaTouch with YANGAROO’s DMDS service was an important initiative for our customers,” Marieke Wijtkamp, president and COO of OMT stated. “DMDS provides a simple and effective way for radio stations to keep their music library current and accurate. One of our key objectives in 2008 is to integrate with a variety of complementary product providers that add value for our customers. The DMDS service is a perfect fit for that objective.”
