XO Communications, a leading provider of 21st century communications for businesses, announced that is has completed a major capacity upgrade of its nationwide IP network to meet high-speed Internet access services as the company continues to expand into the IP transit service market. The Company has also expanded the number of locations from which it can provide 10 Gigabit Ethernet IP Transit services to 83 locations nationwide.

XO Communications deployed the Cisco® CRS-1 Carrier Routing System in the core of its nationwide IP network which supports a broad range of services, including high-speed Dedicated Internet access, IP Transit, IP-VPN and VoIP services for service providers, businesses and even large enterprises.
