Willow Creek Enterprises, www.willowcreekenterprisesinc.com – the North America-focused gold, silver and base metal developer which is currently targeting sizeable acreage in Nevada, reported today that the team of consulting geologists dispatched to the Company’s Hercules Gold and Silver Property have returned with gold and silver-positive samples.
These results, obtained from sampling at altered and mineralized outcroppings from throughout the property confirmed projected gold and silver content, further validating the extant geological model of the site and validating the vein system, which is now clearly known to extend some 1.25 miles.
The team of geologists has also validated that there are at least two separate vein systems, which are roughly 1,500 apart, separated by what is largely post-mineral material, likely with trace metals if the regional historic geology is any indicator.
Extant drilling, structural and the current sampling data, in addition to the acquisition of new claims, is enough for WLOC to proceed with an NI 43-101-compliant resource calculation and the Company has subsequently commissioned said calculation for the Hercules property.
President of WLOC, Terry Fields, beamed at the record highs of gold and silver coinciding with such developments at Hercules, characterizing the sum of data and research produced thus far at Hercules, and these sampling results in particular as very encouraging.
Fields cited the positive assays for gold from all four quadrants of the property as the most significant single item among the data and seemed quite pleased with the geological work performed by the team of consulting geologists, clearly showing excitement over the definition of the vein systems as it pertains directly to upcoming drilling.
Drilling should proceed apace of expectations thanks to the geological targeting and surface data that is nearly equivalent to past drilling data in terms of gold content (as validated by assay).
Fields himself, though storied in the rigors of the industry, seemed taken aback at the sheer prospect of the new targets, saying “These new targets are very intriguing because they are also open in all directions which give us a higher probability for positive results” – Herculean results could be just around the corner for WLOC shareholders.
Let’s take a look at the Hercules property:
• 86 claims consisting of some 1720 acres
• Historic Walker Lane Mineral Belt, a trend literally saturated with mineralization, containing some of the biggest deposits on record – Comstock Lode (8.6M oz Au/192M oz Ag), Round Mountain (10M oz Au since 1906), Rawhide, Aurora and Goldfield mines
• Massive porphyry copper – viz. Yerington (Anaconda Copper pulled 1.75B lbs between 1953-1978)
Hercules is a great addition to the Company’s Dolly Varden project over in Lyon County, NV (1,040 acres, 52 unpatented mining claims, 1-4% copper and 0.03-7 g/t Au ranges from surface to drilling around that property).
