The company’s CEO, Robert Bernstein, is responsible for obtaining $8M from the US Government for R&D, congressional sponsorship for the technology, US Air Force interest in using the technology in its aging aircraft project, and support from the Federal Highway Administration for Bridge Monitoring Services.
The U.S. bridges are in desperate need of upgrading, as seen in recent news. Repair costs to repair these bridges are estimated at over $436 billion. Materials Technologies has much opportunity in this market and proven systems in place.
