Voiceserve Inc. (VSRV.OB) Unleashes Blackberry Compatible Mobile Dialer

Voiceserve Inc., a next-generation Internet Telephony software and service provider, today announced the availability of its Blackberry compatible VoIP mobile dialer, which enables Blackberry users to receive phone calls through the Internet 3G or edge without the high international calling rate.

The dialer is designed to work with Voiceserve’s VoipSwitch’s Softswitch platform, and is compatible with alternative third-party SIP compliant platforms.

VoiceServe CEO Michael Bibelman noted that Voiceserve is one of the first pioneers in VoIP dialer services for Blackberry, and he laid out the numbers reflecting the handset’s popularity.

“The addition of the Blackberry VoIP dialer to Voiceserve’s full range of mobile dialers compliments our comprehensive service offering. We are one of the first software companies to offer VoIP dialer solution for Blackberry users, which is the second most popular cellular handset. Blackberry represented approximately 20 percent of the 1.21 billion mobile phones sold worldwide in 2009. Voiceserve’s Vippie dialers, combined with an extensive range of capabilities embedded in our VoIPSwitch and PBX services empowers merchants with the most comprehensive VoIP service available,” Bibelman stated in the press release.

Voiceserve showcased its VoIP dialer for Blackberry at the TMC’s ITEXPO East 2010 in Miami, Florida, in January where it received a Best of Show Award for “Best Service Provider Solution.”

The company also displayed the dialer at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, in February and the CeBIT Global Conference in Hanover, Germany, in March where the company said it received significant interest from wholesalers, resellers and service providers.

In addition to the dialer for Blackberry, Voiceserve also announced the availability of its VoIP dialer for iPhone, which offers the same cost savings for international calling.

“In addition and due to increasing number of requests from our customers, we are also introducing our ability to offer, directly to consumers, a program to purchase VoIP minutes for their mobile devices,” Bibelman stated. “Our first initiative is with iPhone customers, whereby they may choose to either purchase their minutes through the Apple Apps Store and check out directly within their Apple account, or they may purchase minutes through our web site. Either way, the savings to the individual is tremendous. Importantly our service is quick to download and uniquely offers all call features.”
