VirTra System’s management team consists of industry professionals with extensive knowledge and background in both leadership positions and the virtual reality industry. The CEO, Major General Perry V. Dalby (USA-Retired), acquired his Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma Christian University in 1966 and his Masters of Science degree from the University of Southern California in 1978. He began his military service in 1966 and was commissioned a year later.
As General Dalby served in the military, his leadership qualities shown and soon he was assigned as the executive officer for the 55th Aviation Detachment. When he returned from the mission, he was assigned as an infantry company commander with the 2nd Armored Division. In December of 2000, General Dalby assumed command of the 75th Division (Training Support) and mobilized the division in support of the global war on terrorism in January, 2003. In addition to the CEO’s illustrious military command and training experience, he also previously served in a management capacity for private-sector contract-manufacturing operations.
The President of the Company, Bob Ferris, previously was the president of the former Ferris Productions, which he founded in 1993. He received his degree in systems engineering from the University of Arizona and obtained a grant from the Honors College to study data visualation in virtual reality. Mr. Ferris has lectured at various trade shows, published articles, developed advanced, high-tech products, and is known as one of the ‘grandfathers’ of virtual reality.
