VirTra Systems announced this morning that it will exhibit its dismounted infantry simulator, which is known as the most technologically advanced in its class, at this year’s Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation & Education Conference (I/ITSEC), in Orlando, Florida.
Major General Perry V. Dalby (USA-Retired), CEO of VirTra Systems, stated, “VirTra Systems continues to advance critical small arms training simulation to meet the changing needs of dismounted infantry engaging today’s fourth-generation, insurgent fueled urban warfare. We invite our customers to experience this new technology by visiting our display at Christie’s booth, #3339, this week in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.”
The ultrahigh-resolution simulator utilizes a stereoscopic technology that increases the user’s depth-of-field vision to enable realistic targeting. The CEO commented, “Essentially, this technology enables trainees to look around corners or over cover, and brings us one step closer to holographic or “holodeck” type simulation conceptualized by the popular Star Trek television series.”
