VIASPACE has a portfolio that includes microelectronics, sensors, homeland security & public safety, energy/fuel cells, information & computational technology, RFID, e-finance, and mobile e-commerce.
VIASPACE has licensed patents and software technology from the California Institute of Technology. This technology was developed by scientists and engineers over the last decade and was funded by NASA and the Department of Defense. VIASPACE plans to use this large government R&D investment – made originally for space and defense applications – as commercial products. Initial investments in these technologies cost millions of dollars and many years of Research & Developement. VIASPACE acquired the technology with only a small investment and greatly reduced technical risk.
