USTelematics, Inc. (UTLM.OB) Announces Integration of Microsoft MSN Gas Price Finder into Voyager Mobile IPTV

USTelematics, a company engaged in the development and commercialization of next-generation proprietary technologies to private and commercial vehicles, announced today that the company’s Voyager in-car Mobile Internet Protocol TV will be integrated with Microsoft’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) MSN Autos Gas Price Finder. This will enable drivers of cars equipped with Voyager to find the best and closest fuel prices in real time.

The new gas price finder feature will be considered an upgrade and customers will incur an additional charge for the installation of the GPS Module, but it offers an additional benefit because voyager users will be able to click an on-screen button to automatically feed their location to Microsoft’s MSN Autos online gas price facility. The gas price list containing overnight pricing data from local gas stations will display in a popup window on Voyager’s screen.

Howard Leventhal, CEO of USTelematics stated, “Gas prices are a topic of high concern for people right now. We saw an opportunity to help folks deal with this serious economic issue in a technology-enhanced way and decided to implement this feature in Voyager.”

According to the company, aside from the additional cost of adding Voyager’s GPS Module to a Voyager installation, there will be no extra cost for using this Gas Price Finder feature beyond the ongoing monthly cost of connecting Voyager to EVDO broadband services, which led Mr. Leventhal to further state, “In one respect this may be thought of as further economic justification for subscribing to the wireless broadband services required to connect your kids to live TV programs in the back seat. As we prepare Voyager to hand-off to others for manufacturing and distribution, we continue to enhance its value and functionality.”
