Universal Detection Technology (UDTT.OB) to Market EPA Approved Bacteria-Killing Product Line

Universal Detection Technology (OTCBB: UDTT) today announced it has secured a deal to market its line of Anti-Microbial Products. Approved by The Environmental Protection Agency, the products are effective in killing 99.9% of bacteria, including Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus (MRSA), E.coli, Norovirus and Salmonella.

“The introduction of the new EPA approved anti-microbial spray and fogger to our product line, augments our current anti-microbial products and services,” Jacques Tizabi UDTT’s CEO said in a statement. “We will continue to market these products to all venues that are vulnerable to community-acquired MRSA. We expect that having our products EPA-approved will appeal to a larger customer base.”

MRSA has become a wide-spread fear as more cases are reported in schools, hospitals and other frequented areas. MRSA is spread through direct skin-to-skin contact or contact with items or surfaces that have come into contact with someone else’s infection. The increase in the spread of the infection has led to several fatalities in recent years.

Universal Detection’s anti-MRSA product, Vital Oxide, uses oxidization rather than bleaching to combat mold, mildew and bacteria, rendering it harmless on fabrics and skin. Universal Detection also develops early-warning monitoring technologies in the line of Homeland Security to protect the United States from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats. The company has established a working partnership with NASA to create a bio-terror smoke and bio-hazard substance detector.
