Universal Detection Technology (UDTT.OB) Receives New Purchase Order

Universal Detection Technology (UDTT.OB), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats, announced that the company has received a purchase order for their five-agent bioterrorism detection kits from Emergency 911. Emergency 911 is the purchaser for Washington, D.C’s Fire and Emergency Medical Services. These kits are capable of spot detection of anthrax, ricin toxin, botulinum toxin, plague, and SEBs.

Specifically, the District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department is an all-hazards agency providing emergency medical care and transportation, fire prevention, fire suppression, hazardous material response, and technical rescue services to residents and visitors in the District of Columbia. Currently, FEMS resources are deployed in 33 neighborhood fire stations and include 37 EMS transport units, 33 engine companies, 16 ladder trucks, three heavy-rescue squads, one hazardous materials unit, and one fire boat company.

Jacques Tizabi, CEO, commented, “We are excited to add the Washington, D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services to the list of the customers of our bioterrorism detection kits. We look forward to expanding the use of our kits to various other agencies around the nation and to consequently playing a role in enhancing US national security,” he added.
