Universal Detection Technology (UDTT.OB) – Modern Plagues, the War Rages On

For all the miracles of modern medicine, there are a few very basic facts that often get overlooked in this new fangled age of technology. One of those basic facts is that there is still NO cure for the common cold. Yes you can treat the symptoms, reduce your fever, calm your headache, but the fact remains that it’s your own body’s defense mechanism that finally defeats the “bad bugs” and get you better. Well, it’s also true that the battle between “us” and the “bugs” has been going on for thousands of years, and over time, both adapt to new environs.

If one were to look at the whole scope of the medical arsenal that can be deployed against disease, it would be easy to think that we’ve won the war against virus, bacteria, mold etc. Nothing could be further from the truth however. All of these life forms change, adapt, even go into hiding while trying to come up with new ways to infect us. Often they figure out ways to mutate into forms that our self defense mechanisms cannot recognize. They’ve even have been shown to migrate from one form of host to another, such as jumping from animal infections to man infections. In the past few years we’ve heard of frightening statistics about such things as SARS, and Bird flu. Estimates are that a true pandemic of either would kill several millions of people. This is the power of the “bug”.

Recently there’s been a lot of murmuring about MRSA, a rather horrible bacteria that’s become resistant to almost all of modern medicine’s antibiotics. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection is caused by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria — often called “staph.” Decades ago, a strain of staph emerged in hospitals that was resistant to the broad-spectrum antibiotics commonly used to treat it. Dubbed methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), it was one of the first germs to outwit all but the most powerful drugs.

In the 1990s, a type of MRSA began showing up in the wider community. Today, that form of staph, known as community-associated MRSA, or CA-MRSA, is responsible for many serious skin and soft tissue infections and for a serious form of pneumonia. In fact, just a few days ago, a young man perished from this very pneumonia, raising alarms all around the world. Why? He did nothing wrong. He wasn’t weak, old, or frail. He wasn’t a drug user, an AIDS victim or had a poorly functioning immune system. Yet this “super bug” took his young life, and modern medicine couldn’t save him.

This is where UDTT becomes so very important. Universal Detection Technology has been in the business of “looking for” bad bugs since its inception. Detecting abnormal amounts of airborne mold spores, for example, is a core element of their business. But it’s their recent Product introduction named Vital Oxide that gets our attention. This approach to sterilizing is different from the harsh chemical products commonly used such as Chlorine bleach. This product “burns up” the bad bugs, mold, mildew, etc via oxidation instead. It’s safe enough to wash your hands with, but dynamic enough to kill 99.9% of all the bad guys, including MRSA.

With the EPA certification of the product, and their newly developed fogger type dispensers, Universal has opened the door to a much wider consumer base than they presently enjoy. No longer confined to anti terrorism and monitoring capabilities, UDTT is expected to be a powerful force in the war against such horrid bugs as MRSA.

The public is becoming both aware of, and “scared of” MRSA and for good reason. It’s killing children. School kids are having surgery to remove parts of arms and hands horribly infected with such bugs, and all they did to acquire it was to play some touch football. They cry out for schools, hospitals, daycare centers, etc to “do something” and UDTT gives them an effective way to sterilize these very areas, economically and almost completely.

As MRSA infections continue to increase, UDTT’s order books will likewise increase as the public clamors for prevention. Someone has to combat these horrid infectious diseases, and until modern medicine can cure us of them, UDTT’s Vital Oxide sterilizer will be in great demand. This is a good time to take a serious look at the company.
