TouchStone Software Corporation (OTCBB: TSSW) acquired PCDrivers.com, one of the Internet’s original device driver resource Web sites. The acquisition includes the PCDrivers.com domain name and PCDrivers.com’s device driver library. PCDrivers.com is an early leader in the device driver resource sector and one of the most visible device driver content web sites on the Internet.
“The acquisition of PCDrivers.com will compliment and expand TouchStone’s growing network of computer content related web sites and create additional revenue opportunities for TouchStone’s DriverAgent on-line device driver update subscription service by exposing DriverAgent to a broader potential customer base,” said Jason Raza – president and CEO of TouchStone – in a press release. “We anticipate a rapid return on our investment on the PCDrivers.com acquisition and will be rolling out new changes on the PCDrivers.com website over the next several weeks.”
TouchStone, together with its subsidiary, eSupport.com Inc., engages in the development, marketing, and support of system management software and personal computer diagnostics for personal computers and embedded systems in the U.S. and internationally.
In early trading today, shares of TouchStone were up 5 cents (3 percent) to $1.75 per share on volume of 12,800.
