Top Closers with Big News

Every public company loves to put out good news and see the reflection in its stock price. The following three companies released positive news of some kind today or late yesterday and then watched as their stock prices closed very strong.

Phytolab Solutions Inc. (OTCBB: PYTL) shares were up 35 cents, or 58 percent, to 95 cents, on volume of 468 thousand at the market’s close today. Shares climbed steadily throughout the day after the company announced a competition for consumers to create the brand or tagline for their new immune boosting product, Product I. The competition runs from June 4 until June 30, 2007 and is giving away prizes of $15,000 and $7,500.

Shares of PainCare Holdings Inc. (AMEX: PRZ) closed on an increase of 5 cents, or 15.5 percent, to $0.38 on volume of 1,227,600. The increase comes after the company’s announcement it had finalized the sale of Maryland-based Ambulatory Surgery Center. Per the deal, the transaction provided forgiveness on a $7.8 million note due that was payable to the shareholders. The forgiveness of this note, as well as another forgiveness in the amount of 2 million provided PainCare with a one-time cash payment of $5 million.

Exeter Resource Corp (AMEX: XRA) shares rose 62 cents, or 21 percent, closing at $3.57 on volume of 577,500 this afternoon. The company reports that it has continued to encounter high-grade gold/silver mineralization in five new diamond drill holes at its Cerro Moro Project, in Santa Cruz Province, Argentina. Throughout the past week Exeter has seen steady gains resulting in an increase of almost a $1.00.
