Tombstone Cards, Inc. (TMCI.OB) Offers Official University Merchandise

After spending four or more years in a college or university, many of us are so proud of our accomplishment that we want the world to know about it. So we may run to the nearest DMV and grab an alumni license plate, place stickers all over of vehicle or proudly wear the school’s apparel. Tombstone Cards is making sure that game night with our friends should be no different.

Tombstone Cards allows individuals, businesses and organizations to create professional-quality custom playing card with their own photos and designs. Using the company’s “do-it-yourself” e-commerce site, users can easily and affordably personalize card decks that celebrate, promote and commemorate life moments and events.

Tombstone Cards announced today that they have entered into an agreement with the Collegiate Licensing Company. The agreement allows the company to offer officially licensed college images and logos on a deck of customized playing. So whether it is a game of Bridge, Poker, Rummy, Hearts or Spades, we can promote or recall the time we spent hitting those books and surviving the college experience at our alma mater on a deck of customized playing cards.

The company is located in Boulder, Colorado and will begin marketing the new cards first to those colleges in that state including the campuses of University of Colorado system (Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, and the Anschutz Medical Campus), Colorado State University campuses (Fort Collins and Pueblo), as well as the United States Air Force Academy.

The agreement with the Collegiate Licensing Company allows Tombstone Cards to use logos and copyrighted images from the three campuses plus the “Officially Licensed College Products” seal. For each deck of cards ordered, a fee is paid to the respective school.

Commenting on the agreement, Neil Cox, Tombstone chairman and CFO stated, “A customized deck of playing cards is an excellent way for individuals to share the joy of graduation with friends and family.”

The 24 deck cards are inexpensive gifts for a friend or family member graduating from college and runs around $8 per deck with discounts for larger orders and Tombstone sees this as a way to expand into another market as these campus have more than eighty thousand students as well as tens of thousands of alumni, families and friends.
