TiVUS, Inc. just announced that installation under its current contract for in-room high-definition (HD) internet-protocol television (IPTV) has begun in the Downtown Doubletree® Hotel & Executive Meeting Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
“I am pleased installation of our HD IPTV system with ad-insertion at the Downtown Doubletree is currently underway,” stated Shiva Prakash, TiVUS’ president and chief executive officer. “The 60-month Doubletree contract provides the property with TiVUS’ unique HD IPTV in-room entertainment solution with ad-insertion for this 19 floor, 435 room property. Currently, we expect most rooms on-line before year’s end.
“450 TiVUS’ e-SmarTVs have recently been moved from our shipping hold and are now staged on-site,” he continued. “TiVUS’ e-SmarTV is a first-of-its-kind, technically advanced interactive flat-panel high-definition television (HDTV) that connects directly into a hotel’s existing coaxial or CAT 5/6 cabling, making it the first plug-and-play TV in the industry. The new TiVUS-brand HDTV, with TiVUS’ logo prominently displayed on it, is a multidimensional hotel entertainment platform with many integrated features including the set-top box, secure wireless internet, viewer accessible connections, and pure IP-based connectivity.
“As the hotel industry continues to embrace the future, in-room HD IPTV entertainment with ad-insertion, we believe we will soon win more contracts and brining more properties on-line as we market the TiVUS’ hotel HD IPTV solution worldwide,” Prakash concluded.
