Thomson S.A. (TMS) Plays Role in the Dark Knight’s Phenomenal Box-Office Success

The Dark Knight made a box-office record, becoming the quickest film to domestically gross more than $200 million. Thomson S.A. The company’s Technicolor Services division provided a full range of laboratory and digital services to the top 10 films driving the North American box office, including the Dark Knight, Mamma Mia! and Space Chimps.

Thomas’ Technicolor Services division provided creative and technical services for front-end negative processing and dailies, digital intermediates, theatrical release printing and digital cinema services. The company’s combination of industry-leading technologies and systems and services delivers end-to-end solutions based on its broad portfolio of intellectual properties. The company’s client list consists of studios, broadcasters, network operators (telcos, broadband satellite and cable operators) and a growing number of professional users of videos.
