ThermoEnergy Corp., a diversified technologies company focused on worldwide development, sales, and commercialization of patented and/or proprietary municipal and industrial wastewater treatment and power generation technologies, today announced the launch of Turbo CAST®, a new, energy efficient, high-flow technology.
Specifically designed for use in areas where energy costs are high and in applications where there are high wastewater flows, Turbo CAST® utilizes the latest in heat recuperation technology for the recovery of up to 90% of the thermal energy used in the system.
“Turbo CAST® opens up opportunities in a number of high flow industrial markets where previously we didn’t have a competitive solution,” stated Cary Bullock, CEO of ThermoEnergy Corp. “By combining vapor recompression technology with a vacuum assisted flash distillation process, we offer a highly energy efficient, very simple to operate system that reduces operating costs. “Turbo CAST® will be incorporated into all of our wastewater recovery systems, including systems for recovery of ammonia, metals, BOD, and glycol,” added Bullock. “And like our original CAST® systems that will remain the standard for efficiency in many applications, Turbo CAST® will have high-uptime, low-maintenance costs and a small footprint. In addition, Turbo CAST® can be retrofit to our existing CAST® systems improving the energy performance of these systems significantly.”
