TFZ announced Thursday the addition of 18-time world Karate champion Donald “The Grinch” Vickers to its roster of top-level MMA competitors. The 21 year-old has attained a second-degree black belt in Chinese Kenpo/Wu Ying Chuan under the guidance of Grand Master Eddie “Flash” Newman. Donald Vickers has been competing professionally in the World Combat League (WCL) since the age of nineteen, and has amassed more than 500 total wins as a championship fighter.
TFZ president Lloyd Vickers said, “”Donald Vickers has been one of the top fighters in the WCL and has been one of the top full contact fighters for years. He will be a great addition to The Fight Zone with his experience.”
Donald “The Grinch” Vickers has the kind of fighting style that really attracts crowds, with several of his many wins coming by way of first-round knockouts. TFZ, with Vickers running on its ticket, stands a good chance to gain a greater share of a more than one billion-dollar MMA pay-per-view market.
