Testing Trends Offer Bright Outlook For Neutra Corp. (NTRR)

Across the nation, medical marijuana (MMJ) advocates are lobbying states with MMJ laws to mandate testing for a range of impurities, a key requirement that could spell big profits for Neutra Corp.

The state of Oregon’s new law creating a registry of MMJ dispensaries makes it one of only a handful of territories currently requiring cannabis testing for pesticides, molds, mildews and other adulterants. The law is aimed at protecting patients: lobbyists argue that consumers deserve detailed information about the drug before consuming it.

It’s a popular idea that is spreading as MMJ infrastructure matures in the U.S., where 20 states and the District of Columbia now allow cannabis for medicinal use. Starting next year, however, it will be a requirement for all cannabis products in Colorado and Washington to be tested for health and safety.

In order to meet the growing demand for such analysis, NTRR is developing a simple, disposable new system for testing oils, butters, tinctures, resins and other concentrates derived from medical marijuana (MMJ) for harmful contaminants. Concentrates are made with many different potentially harmful solvents and hydrocarbons that help strip the cannabinoids from the flower to make hash and other MMJ products.

Laboratory tests are planned to commence soon to determine the prototype’s usefulness under a variety of lab conditions. If successful, the innovative system could help NTRR capture a big share of an MMJ testing market poised for unprecedented growth as more and more states sign MMJ laws.
