Teknik Digital Arts Inc. (TKNK.OB) Launches New Physically Interactive Videogame League: THEXRGAMES.COM

Teknik Digital Arts announced today the launch of their new videogame league, THEXRGAMES.COM. This site links together video game players around the globe exclusively using the interactive videogame controller designed by Teknik Digital Arts. The site has been approved by the state of Arizona as a non-profit extracurricular activity for all two million children grades K-12 in the state. Players now strive to earn “burn points” on the site, which is a measure of how many calories are burned by using the Teknik controller while playing these new games. So far the site has already recorded more than 4.5 million of these “burn points.”

THEXRGAMES.COM works with most games played on the Nintendo Wii and Wii Fit, Microsoft’s Xbox and Xbox 360, Sony Playstation 2 and Playstation 3 and PC. The site will require the use of a new Teknik Digital Arts controller, which provides isometric resistance ranging from 7.5 lbs to 100 lbs in order to burn calories and build muscle. Use of the site also requires a membership, but all Arizona members of THEXRGAMES.COM are eligible to receive free memberships, video games and consoles, as all costs are reimbursed by the State of Arizona’s extracurricular activity tax credit.

The chairman of Teknik Digital Arts, John Ward, stated, “We now have an opportunity to take America’s current pastime, video gaming, to fight America’s number one current health epidemic, childhood obesity. The statistics from the CDC are well known. 2 out of every 3 children are either considered obese or overweight. Video game sales have increased 31% over the last year alone during a recession. 72% of the population between the ages of 6 and 44 play video games.”

Ward is now giving these gamers an opportunity to burn up to 250 calories per hour doing something that they love. Registration is simple and fast at the website, and members have access to online gaming, chat forums, game cheats, and exclusive event photos. Teknik Digital Arts is currently touring the country in a bright orange Hummer H2 to promote this new exercise system and their website. Access to all eight leagues in California is simple, and the anticipation of leagues around the country is tremendous.
