The Bowser Report – Daily Mover Alert December 2, 2015

Today, The Bowser Report issued a daily mover alert on Infosonics Corp. (IFON), which was up roughly 10% today. IFON closed up pretty darn close to 10% today on a heavy day compared to the company's 10-day average volume, but an average day compared its 3-month average volume. With no news, IFON's volume picked up midday, pulling the stock up. Upward momentum carried the company's shares higher, before leveling off towards the end of the day. IFON is currently in Category 1 with a Bowser Rating of 10 after posting good third quarter 2015 results, which included a 50% increase…

Today, The Bowser Report issued a daily mover alert on Direct Insite Corp. (DIRI), which was down more than 10% today. DIRI's 8-K was negative, which is why the stock fell today on large volume. The filing detailed, "one of HP's customers was terminating its contract with HP pursuant to which [DIRI] provided services to such client, effective February 23, 2016... This client comprised 14.7% of DIRI's revenues for the nine months ended September 30, 2015, and 15.4% of the Company's revenues for the twelve months ended December 31, 2014." The Bowser Report – Weekly Snapshot November 20, 2015

In The Bowser Report Weekly for the week ended November 20, 2015, the publication outlined the weekly performance of some of the most promising low-priced stocks. Following a pretty rough week, the market bounced back nicely. The Russell 2000 again lagged behind the larger indexes, demonstrating small stocks’ continued underperformance. The other three major indexes stuck pretty close together with gains between 3.3% and 3.6%. Bowser stocks, averaging a 0.2% loss, ended their two week streak of average gains. Despite three companies closing up more than 10%, including Liberator Medical (LBMH) and OurPet’s (OPCO) gaining over 20%, 21 recommendations closed…

The Bowser Report – Daily Mover Alert November 23, 2015

Today, The Bowser Report issued a daily mover alert on Command Security (MOC), which gained just shy of 19% today. MOC has now moved a number of times on press releases concerning a contract with the United States Postal Service. First, the company announced winning a contract in December 2014, only to have the contract challenged resulting in a stay of the transition in January 2015. Then, in June 2015, the stay was lifted, followed by the challenging party issuing a protest just days later. The protest was dismissed in July, and the USPS announced the reaffirmation of MOC's contract…

Today, The Bowser Report issued a daily mover alert on Liberator Medical Holdings (LMBH), which gained 10% or more today. It is very evident why LBMH closed up almost $0.70 per share on huge volume: the company agreed to be bought out by C.R. Bard for $181 million, or $3.35 per share. Thus, the increase to just below that price ($3.34). Of course, the buy out is still subject to shareholder approval, satisfaction of customary closing conditions and the receipt of regulatory approvals, but the deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016. To learn more about…

Today, The Bowser Report issued a daily mover alert on Meet Me, Inc. (MEET), which fell 10% or more today. Despite being "ranked among the fastest growing companies in North America" yesterday, MEET fell almost $0.30 ($0.28 to be exact) for a daily loss of just over 10%. After hovering around $3 per share last week, MEET shares have tumbled over the past few days. With no news to support the selling, it is most likely investors taking profits after the company's month-plus run from around $1.60 to just above $3. Any time a company appreciates so rapidly, a pull-back…

Today, The Bowser Report issued a daily mover alert on Newtek Business Services (NEWT), which gained 10% or more today. Today is NEWT's ex-dividend day, or the last day for shareholders to buy/sell shares and be considered/not considered for the upcoming dividend. On a stock's ex-dividend date, the share price is negatively adjusted by the amount of the dividend, usually going unnoticed. Larger dividends are noticed, as is the case with NEWT's special dividend of $2.69 per share. Friday's $17.22 close was adjusted for the dividend, equalling a close of $14.53. Therefore, rather than dropping $2.91 (16.9%), NEWT slid just…

Today, The Bowser Report issued a daily mover alert on FitLife Brands (FTLF), which gained 10% or more today. FTLF closed up $0.28 for the day after reporting on its third quarter results yesterday evening. The release featured sales up 14%, but earnings down 32%. Earnings were down primarily due to the company's merger with iSatori. In our latest front page article, which published today, we discuss one-time charges and how they affect Bowser Ratings. In the case of FTLF, its acquisition costs with iSatori would qualify: "Excluding the non-recurring merger and non-cash issuance costs, net income would have been…

Today, The Bowser Report issued a daily mover alert on Innovative Food Holdings (IVFH), which gained 10% or more today. IVFH closed up 13% on huge volume today following pre-market news that the company intends to spin-off its The Fresh Diet subsidiary. IVFH hit an intraday high of $1 per share. The company cited the following reasons for its decision: • Innovative Food Holdings and The Fresh Diet management will each be able to better focus on their core businesses and more effectively drive growth in shareholder value; • The Fresh Diet will become a pure-play direct-to-consumer business, ideally positioning…

Today, The Bowser Report issued a daily mover alert on MeetMe, Inc. (MEET), which gained 10% or more today. After reporting earnings on November 3, the company closed down $0.39 per share, or 13.93%. Today's move recovered that loss and some. The company even hit a 52-week high of $3.07 intraday. We couldn't find any direct rhyme or reason as to today's move, but it is clear that there was enormous buying pressure driving the stock's price up. MEET is currently in Category 1. The company reported a $2 million loss in the most recent quarter, but $5.7 million was…
