Tactical Air Defense Services is proud to announced this morning that Yuri Goroshovsky has joined the Company as Director of Engineering. In his position, Mr. Goroshovsky will oversee the preparation, operation, and maintenance of the Ilyushin IL-76 firefighting aircraft leased and owned by the Company. He is a known expert in the design and farbrication of advanced aircraft structures and systems, and will be a great addition to the team.
Alexis Korybut, CEO of TADS stated, “We are honored that Mr. Goroshovsky has agreed to supervise the operation of our aircraft. The IL-76 is widely recognized as the aircraft that sets the standard for airborne firefighting and mid-air refueling. Mr. Goroshovsky has already planned and initiated many valuable improvements, and our maintenance and flight crews have expressed their pride and confidence in having him as their supervisor. We believe we have formed a very dynamic aviation operations team.”
Yuri Goroshovsky will also be in charge of a team of highly experienced IL-76 flight and maintenance personnel. He is currently preparing the IL-76 for operations as an airborne firefighter, and is significantly enhancing the aircraft to expand firefighting capabilities by increasing the capacity of its water delivery system from 12,000 to 18,000 gallons.
Since his immigration to the U.S. from the Ukraine, Mr. Goroshovsky has been given numerous opportunities from the aircraft industry as head engineer, production process consultant, mechanical and production engineer, and production plant manager. He maintains complex and valuable contracts in the aviation industry and has access to resources critical to the Company.
