Sub-Surface Waste Management, Inc. (SSWM.OB) Subsidiary Completes Bi-lingual Staff Training Manuals

Sub-Surface Waste Management subsidiary, Environmental Tec International, S.A. de C.V. (ETI), announced that its engineering staff completed bi-lingual staff training manuals for the State of Puebla’s Secretaria Del Medio Ambiente Y Recursos Naturales (Secretariat) which will begin its pollution permitting project next week.

ETI and the students from Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) will train Secretariat staff to create a state-wide environmental regulatory permit and fee structure program. The program will be supported through technical staff for on-site inspection on public and private industrial facilities.

The program was carefully designed to be used as a model in other states impacted by waste generators as well. It is expected to significantly increase the company’s exposure in the market which could lead to more clients and greater revenues.

The director of ETI, Robert Brehm, stated, “Once this program of regulatory permits and compliance enforcement is underway it will operate with self-funding mechanisms that generate revenue for the state government similar to existing programs found in US State and Federal regulatory agencies. As the Secretariat staff expands to meet the anticipated workload, professional and technical career opportunities will be created for BUAP students upon graduation. Additionally, in time the State and its industries will expand pollution control resources and infrastructure further stimulating employment and international investment opportunities to locate new business ventures that must comply with the ISO 9000 and 14000 requirements for environmental compliance in manufactured goods and services. ETI will offer its environmental consulting clean-up services to waste generators who must comply with the new laws.”
