STWA Inc. (ZERO) to Begin Phase II Testing on Its Improved Fuel-Economy Technology

STWA Inc. is an innovative company creating technology focused on energy efficiency of large-scale energy production and improved fuel economy for diesel fleets. The company’s patented and patent-pending technologies provide efficient and cost-effective means of improving the efficacy of crude oil transport and diesel energy.

The company today announced that it is about to start Phase II testing of its ‘Applied Oil Technology’ (AOT) prototype unit at the US Department of Energy’s Rocky Mountain Oilfield Testing Center in Casper, Wyoming. Phase II testing of STWA’s prototype unit, developed with the Colfax Corporation, will take place in a real world oil pipeline environment at the testing center.

AOT is a revolutionary new technology for lowering extraction and transportation costs for pipeline operators and increasing pipeline efficiency. It utilizes patented processes that reduce the viscosity of crude oil, which reduces operational power requirement. This reduces costs and improves profit margins for pipeline operators.

The technology has already been proven in laboratory tests to reduce crude oil’s viscosity, so these real world tests, which begin in mid-April, will be crucial. The testing will evaluate the magnitude and duration of the viscosity changes. It will also characterize the potential reduction in power required to pump crude oil due to the application of AOT on oil pipelines.

The chairman and CEO of the company, Cecil Bond Kyte, said, “AOT has the potential to change the way crude oil is transported around the globe and to generate considerable cost savings for the pipeline industry.” So if the tests are successful, STWA surely stands to benefit.
