Stratos Renewables Corp. (SRNW.OB) Provides Cost-Effective Renewable Energy Source with Sugar Cane Produced Ethanol

Stratos Renewables (SRNW.OB), an emerging South American sugarcane ethanol producer and distributer, is committed to being a leader in Latin America’s rapidly emerging renewable energy industry.

Stratos owns the Estrella del Norte sugar cane production facility in northern Peru and expanding to a combined sugar mill and ethanol distillery capable of producing 700 tons of sugar cane per day and up to 4 million gallons of ethanol.

As Americans continue to be dependent on foreign oil, various solutions have been offered, including drilling in ANWR, mandating better automobile fuel efficiency, utilizing ethanol as a fuel source. Although ethanol can be produced from corn domestically, even if every single kernel of corn grown in America were converted to ethanol, it would only replace approximately 12 percent of nation’s gasoline requirement. In addition, ethanol produced from sugar cane cost significantly less than from corn.

Through the next several phases of the company’s development, Stratos intends to transition from a well established sugar cane processing company to a leader in the Latin American renewable energy industry, increasing its sugar cane ethanol production capacity to 80 million gallons per year.
