Stratos Renewables Corp. (SRNW.OB) Makes Strategic Additions to Executive Team and Board of Directors

Stratos Renewables Corporation has announced the expansion of their board of directors and executive team. On June 9th, Stratos announced the appointment of two new members to its board, and three additions to the company’s executive team. All five were elected and ratified at the company’s board meeting in Lima, Peru on June 4th.

Tom Snyder is now the President of Stratos Renewables, replacing Steve Magami, who has served as interim President. Snyder is a veteran operating executive with the execution of over 40 projects in more than 20 countries to his credit. Snyder has financed and run multiple companies on four continents. Over his career Snyder has raised more than $2 billion of equity and project finance debt.

Also joining the company as Chief Strategy Officer is Sanjay Pai, who has extensive experience in the sugarcane ethanol business. Pai is fluent in five languages and has previously faced many of the challenges associated with the sugarcane ethanol industry. Finally, Luis de las Casas has transitioned from a director to full-time as vice president of Stratos Renewables. Luis is the former Vice Minister of Construction of Peru and will use his experience to help build private sector relationships in the country.

Joining Stratos Renewable’s Board of Directors is Stephen Norris, who will serve as Vice Chairman. Norris was co-founder of the Carlyle Group and served as President of the company for ten years. He is a former Board Member of the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board and holds a BS and JD from the University of Alabama. In addition to Norris, the other addition to the Board is Jose Gonzales, a former Under Secretary of the Peruvian Navy. Gonzales is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and holds post graduate degrees in ocean engineering and systems management from MIT. Gonzales brings with him 27 years of managerial experience in the energy industry and will make an immediate impact on the Board.
