ImageXpres Corporation (OTC: IMJX) is a digital imaging solutions, software development, and digital printing company founded in 1999 and headquartered in Rochester, NY. With a full suite of internet-based imaging applications and specialty products, IMJX is currently positioned to capitalize on the rapidly growing $50 billion digital imaging/information and on-demand print industries market, primarily via internet-centric e-commerce solutions and IP broadband telecommunications channels.
ImageXpres offers an ever-expanding family of unique, custom-designed photographic-quality printed products for commercial and consumer applications. Additionally, as more firms are requiring digital multimedia services to promote, advertise and operate their businesses in the global online marketplace, ImageXpres is now developing and selling a portfolio of new digital imaging and communications software services.
These products and services will be globally marketed, sold and distributed over the internet via www.ImageXpres.com. Augmenting the internet-based business model is an expanding network of ImageXpres free-standing imaging/print Kiosks that offer consumers convenient customer service and order fulfillment. The ImageXpres Digital iPrint Kiosks are all broadband connected, creating a WiFi gateway for mobile phones, PDAs, and notebook PCs, thus supporting a wide range of business services in addition to the primary imaging applications.
Furthermore, IMJX Kiosks are differentiated from the standard photo kiosks prevalent in consumer photographic retail centers, providing large format prints up to 24″ x 36″ size, as well as color laser output for business documents. Wholesale fulfillment for iPrint Kiosk customers is enabled via high-speed connections to ImageXpres imaging/printing fulfillments centers, thus providing ImageXpres iPrint Kiosk owner/operators significantly higher ROI, as well as a broader range of online services available for its walk-up customers.
Since its inception the Company has recognized the value in providing digital imaging / information solutions as a core competency, to enable continuous product differentiation in a competitive marketplace. Thus the ImageXpres software development team is focused on developing and commercializing total software solutions, as evidenced by its family of digital iPrint Kiosks, now being sold into the U.S. retail and hospitality markets. ImageXpres has demonstrated the ability to rapidly and cost-effectively develop custom applications with a focus on vertical imaging/printing markets. Furthermore, IMJX is now entering the dynamic high growth IP market with an eye towards integration of its imaging capability with other POS information services.
The Company is now providing the basis for an image telecommunications platform that promises a range of new (ASP) hosted business applications and revenue streams. The Company’s internet-connected iPrint Kiosks, and Medical Imaging solutions systems are just two exciting opportunities being developed by IMJX. Plans are in place to roll out a variety of new digital services via the iPrint Kiosk product line, including digital VoIP phone service for walk-up customers looking for low-cost phone call capability while traveling, or as an alternative to more expensive cell phone charges.
Thus the Company is poised for significant revenue and earnings growth in the commercial imaging and printing markets, and select vertical, image-intensive market segments like medical imaging.
The Digital Imaging Market
The market for “on-demand” custom printing and multimedia services is booming. Over 22 million digital cameras were shipped in 2005, with 29+ million expected in 2006, and an installed base of 350 million expected by 2008.
Digital camera phone sales and the installed base is also exploding, with sales of camera phones expected to surpass 950 Million units by 2009! It is evident that most consumers have switched over from traditional 35mm film cameras but it has been shown that they still enjoy having physical prints of their photos and are willing to pay for the convenience that kiosks can provide.
This is just one component of Print on Demand, a market that is expected to exceed $75 Billion by 2008. Additionally, the larger info/imaging market is growing rapidly as well, expected to exceed $100 billion by 2008. Overall convergence of digital image, data, and voice applications will accelerate in 2006, resulting in new broadband (tele) imaging applications by 2007 and beyond.
While sales of digital “input” devices are increasing dramatically, digital output options remain limited – consumers can only view images on a computer screen or television, or print them with an inkjet printer. This creates an excellent opportunity for IMJX to fill this void with its superior digital imaging centers and on-demand digital iPrint Kiosk family of products. The market for these “on-demand” order fulfillment and printing solutions is still in its infancy; should ImageXpres successfully implement their business plan and emerge as the market leader they will have a noticeable time and development advantage over their competitors, especially when factoring in the benefits provided by the Company’s IP and connectivity product solutions.
