NextPhase Provides Wireless Solution, Enabling Growth for AISO.net
ANAHEIM, CA–(MARKET WIRE)–Sep 21, 2006 — NextPhase Wireless (OTC BB:NXPW.OB – News), a next-generation wireless connectivity company that specializes in integrated Internet, voice and data communication solutions, today announced that AISO.net, California’s first and only solar-powered web hosting company, has chosen NextPhase to enhance its Internet connectivity with the addition of a fixed wireless broadband connection, capable of scaling to 50Mbps.
Based in Romoland, California, AISO.net has been providing environmentally friendly web hosting services since 1997. Using solar panels to power its data center and network, AISO.net hosts web sites for customers throughout the U.S. and many other parts of the world. In looking to cost effectively increase their bandwidth, while improving the redundancy of their connectivity, NextPhase’s broadband wireless solution was a natural choice for AISO.net.
“Many people assume that they can get redundant connectivity by bonding two T1s from different providers or combining a T1 along with a DSL circuit. What they often overlook is that those services are often delivered using the same copper cabling, and so if the line is damaged, all connectivity would be lost. For web hosting companies such as AISO.net, redundancy — in its network and server hardware, and now in its connectivity — is key to providing an industry-leading level of service to its customers,” said Robert Ford, NextPhase’s President and CEO.
In addition to providing additional redundancy, broadband wireless provides AISO.net with increased flexibility and scalability. As AISO.net continues to grow, the bandwidth can be increased with a phone call. Also, as there is no local loop cost, which is often cost-prohibitive in underserved markets such as Romoland, broadband wireless is very cost-effective.
AISO.net is the first customer serviced from NextPhase’s extended wireless footprint in fast-growing Riverside County, and is also benefiting from the network upgrade to licensed spectrum that is currently underway in readiness to begin deploying WiMAX services in early 2007.
