IDGLOBAL Announces 10-Year Contract with Major Pharmaceutical Label Manufacturer

KELOWNA, British Columbia–IDGLOBAL (OTC: IDGJ) is pleased to announce to its shareholders that IDGLOBAL has secured an unprecedented ten (10)-year contract to supply its Nano-Molecular Marking(TM), anti-counterfeiting technology, to the renowned pharmaceutical labeling corporation ATL Pharma Security Label Systems(TM) (www.atlco.com), a division of Ad Tape & Label Co. This 10-year supply contract guarantees ATL the ability to incorporate IDGlobal’s Nano-Molecular Marking(TM) technologies into any of ATL’s Pharmaceutical labeling solutions to provide its clients the highest level of protection against counterfeited labels.

ATL is one of the world’s leading secure label solutions providers, manufacturing more than half of all pharmaceutical clinical trial labels for most of the major Pharmaceutical corporations. In the past 7 years ATL has produced more than 120 million pharmaceutical labels (including 19 page booklets), in over 80 languages, for over 1700 clinical trials. In business since 1951, ATL is an FDA Registered Medical Device manufacturer that also specializes in “private brand” disposable medical device manufacturing. See attached link Pharmaceutical Counterfeiting for more information: http://www.atlco.com/medical/PharmaAntiCounterfeiting.html

Counterfeit drugs pose significant public health and safety concerns. They may contain only inactive ingredients, incorrect ingredients, improper dosages, sub-potent or super-potent ingredients, or be contaminated. As a result, patients may be put at risk for serious adverse health consequences. For example, Procrit, a drug used by cancer and AIDS patients, was recently counterfeited and the drug was replaced with nonsterile tap water, which could have caused a severe infection of the bloodstream. In another recent counterfeiting incident, white tablets with “aspirin” imprinted on them replaced Zyprexa, a drug used for schizophrenia and acute bipolar disorder. This could have been particularly dangerous for patients who are aspirin-sensitive or aspirin-allergic or who have bleeding disorders. In addition, patients no longer received appropriate treatment for their illness. Counterfeiters also have been known to switch lower-strength drug(s) for higher strength drug(s). As a result, patients receive lower than expected doses of drug(s), leading to ineffective treatment and therapeutic failure.

Outside the United States, drug counterfeiting is known to be widespread and affects both developing and developed countries. For example, in South-East Asian countries, approximately 10% of drugs on the market are believed to be counterfeit. In China, authorities believe that for some drugs, counterfeits account for 50% of the product on the market. It is reported that in underdeveloped countries such as Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico, up to 40% of manufactured pharmaceuticals may be counterfeit.

As noted in the FDA’s Counterfeit Drug Task Force Interim Report http://www.fda.gov/oc/initiatives/counterfeit/report/ interim_report.html#IAe (Due to its length, this URL may need to be copied/pasted into your Internet browser’s address field. Remove the extra space if one exists.)

The IDGLOBAL Supply contract for anti-counterfeiting technology guarantees ATL the ability to incorporate IDGLOBALS’ Nano-Molecular Markers into any Pharmaceutical labeling solution. ATL and IDGLOBAL are already well positioned to address the massive counterfeiting concerns with unique, patented, Trademark proprietary solutions that no one else can provide. This will be extended to the mainstream OTC (over the counter) pharmaceutical product labeling opportunities with companies that are already solid, long-term ATL clients, as well as the emerging “nutraceutical” products manufacturers.

Donald Dobert, President and COO of ATL stated, “One of ATL’s primary goals is to help prevent counterfeiting and diversion of products and to help provide our client base a ‘workable’ pedigree solution. The addition of IDGLOBAL’s exceptional forensic marking technology adds significant value. No other pharmaceutical label manufacturer can deliver this level of brand integrity.”

Daryl Regier, President of IDGlobal stated, “We are extremely excited about our relationship with ATL as it provides IDGLOBAL unparalleled access to the pharmaceutical vertical through one strategic distribution point. It is IDGlobal’s strategy to align itself with companies and organizations that are leaders within their respective industries and our agreement with ATL is a perfect example of this strategy.”

About ATL (www.atlco.com)

One of ATL’s new innovations is the production of FDA compliant multi-panel booklet labels. In the past seven years, ATL has passed dozens of on-site audits performed by top pharmaceutical companies. ATL has established a well-respected name as the solutions provider in the tough arena of FDA cGMP Compliance. The company has implemented the strict regulations of 21 CFR 210, 211 and 820. Because of this track record, ATL is well known in the pharmaceutical community and is already an approved supplier (manufacturing high quality pharmaceutical labels). The transition to include anti-counterfeiting labels is a natural evolution of value-added products and services.

ATL also excels in “disposable medical device” manufacturing. As a 3M Preferred Medical Converter, ATL capabilities include island placement for transdermal patches, placebo patches, RFID “Smart Labels”, as well as laminating, custom die cutting, and printing. ATL specializes in “complete and customized private brand production” (engineering, manufacturing, pouching, sealing, packaging, and distribution) of “private brand” product.

New for 2007 (from ATL Pharma Security Label Systems(TM)) is their line of anti-counterfeiting “Secur-Book(TM)” labels. ATL multi-panel booklet labels are available with many tamper-resistant features, including “Pharma-Void(TM)”, “Secur-Detek(TM)”, and “Secur-Mark(TM)”.
