SF Auto Show Opens With Electric Cars and Campaign to Reduce Emissions
SAN FRANCISCO, CA–(MARKET WIRE)–Nov 17, 2006 — Actor Ed Asner will take center stage at the San Francisco Auto Show this Saturday to launch ZAP’s (OTC BB:ZAAP.OB – News) international campaign to plant one million trees to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Asner currently plays “Mr. White” on the hit television show “Studio 60″ and has won 7 Emmy Awards and 5 Golden Globes. He was President of the Screen Actors Guild.
Bay Area electric car pioneer ZAP, Friends of The Urban Forest (FUF) and the City of San Francisco are teaming up to encourage all Corporations and citizens to plant trees in San Francisco. Trees donated by ZAP will be planted throughout the day.

Ed Asner speech on the damaging impact of Greenhouse Emissions. Kick off of ZAP’s “Clean Air Corporate Challenge.” Premiere of ZAP cars including the XEBRA XERO electric car. Planting of trees in partnership with Friends of the Urban Forest.
