WGL Entertainment Holdings, Inc. — WGLE
Stock Guru spoke with Mike Pagnano yesterday from the headquarters in Orlando, Florida. He told Stock Guru that the World Golf League will have the opporutnity to present their program to twenty-two interested networks from around the world at Sportel.
WGLE will also finalize their Asian contract at Sportel. Golf is still incredibly popular in Japan and some of the female LPGA players are true celebrities. A 20-year-old LPGA rookie, Ai Miyazato enjoys rock-star popularity in Japan, right up there with baseball stars Ichiro Suzuki and Hideki Matsui. She can’t walk through her home country without being mobbed by admirers and frequently wears disguises when she goes out in public. Ai Mayzato is not the only one.
At 19, Paula Creamer embodies golf and glamour and participates in a grueling international travel schedule, particularly to Japan, where Creamer’s popularity has soared and she’s reached that mile-marker of true status: security guards as part of her entourage.
And then there’s Michele Wie. She is coming on strong. Wie has played in 36 pro events, 28 on the LPGA Tour, four on the PGA Tour, one on the Nationwide, one on the Japan Golf Tour and one on the Asian Tour. And she is still incredibly young.
Pagnano noted, “Golf still has a magic draw in Asia. We are very optimistic about Million Dollar Shoot Out in Asia.”
