I am very excited about our new stock — Copper King (OTC: CPRK) — but I want to look at IDGJ. IDGJ continues to execute in the anti-counterfeiting and loss prevention area. Yesterday we looked at IDGJ’s focus on pharmaceutical counterfeiting.
But I am shocked by the extent of counterfeiting and the gut wrenching consequences of this problem.
My research department has recently reviewed the seriousness of counterfeiting.
Counterfeiting impacts everything from life saving medicines to human blood protein to luxury designer goods.
IDGJ has found a niche that is not and probably will never be managed by governments. Counterfeiting is international in its focus. Only those with most at risk can tackle this on a unique case by case basis – and that will be the manufacturers of the products.
Manufacturing companies — who have no choice but to police their own products — are the focus of IDGJ’s sales targets. I can see from the failure of governments to manage counterfeiting that only the manufacturers themselves will be able to address these very serious issues.
Here are some of the incredible facts our research department has uncovered:
* The EU’s consumer protection commissioner held talks with China last year. Peter Mandelson, the trade commissioner, estimated that half the counterfeited goods found in the EU originate in China.
* The Chinese authorities admitted last year that almost a fifth of products made for domestic consumption were substandard – including fake human blood protein found in hospitals there.
* China is a leading source of illegally copied goods ranging from music and movies to sporting goods and medicines. Industry groups say the scale of offenses appears to be growing despite stepped up Chinese penalties and repeated crackdowns.
* While flooding the $US157 billion global luxury goods industry with counterfeits may not sound menacing, the source of those counterfeited designer goods is troubling.
Dana Thomas, a Paris-based journalist writing about fashion and culture for A-list media, including Newsweek, The New York Times Magazine, the Financial Times, Vogue and Australia’s Harper’s Bazaar, recently uncovered the reality that these counterfeited designer goods are manufactured in sweatshops in China staffed by children sold into slavery by their families.
Thomas spent more than three years researching her book and conducting interviews from the boardrooms of Paris to the police stations of Guangzhou, where tip-offs from greedy landlords lead to daily raids on counterfeit factories staffed by children sold into labor by impoverished parents.
IDGJ impresses me because they are ready for success.
IDGJ has continuously announced that it can ramp up to one hundred million units if required.
The aggressive trade show and conference schedule the two companies are jointly attending to showcase these ten product deliverables over the next five months have the potential to deliver staggering numbers within the pharmaceutical business.
IDGJ has the means and the product to penetrate the counterfeiting market !
