Stock Guru continues its discussion with Richard Schnoor, Director of International Operations for Network Exploration, Ltd.
Richard Schnoor explains with enthusiasm, “Marco Fernandez Concha Murazzi is our chief geologist. I believe Marco Fernandez is one of the best field geologists in the business. He worked in South America and Canada for Noranda and later for Teck Corporation in Latin America. His father, a Peruvian of Italian decent, was a well-known geologist who work for the government of Peru and took Marco on his field trips in the Andes Mountains at a very early age. He was recommended to us by Ken Thorsen, former CEO and President of Exploration for Teck Corporation until his retirement, who has the highest regard for him.”
“Marco was head of exploration on the Caldera Project in 1993-1995 and was puzzled when Noranda decided to abandon their projects in S.America in 1995 due to low gold and commodity prices. Noranda’s own recommendations on the Caldera property included an extensive drill program which was never implemented. Marco’s believes the Caldera property has all the characteristics of a major porphry copper-gold zone and deep drilling is the only way to prove the size and feasiblity for an open pit mining operation.”
“I base my enthusiam on Marco’s enthusiasm, well, that and the reports, and the fact that you can simply see with the naked eye the presence of copper in the bowl shapend amphitheater. It’s there and we believe it’s there in amounts that make this extremely profitable. But it’s good to have someone like Marco leading us. He knows this business, he knows this area, and he was with Noranda the first time they explored it. Noranda’s original geologists believed in it so much the bought it themselves and held on to it until the price of copper was right.”
Richard Schnoor will return to Chile in two weeks to enter into the contract currently support by the Memorandum of Understanding regarding this property and NETY’s interest.
