I think it is of phenomenal importance that Medina International Holdings has entered into an agreement with Kelly Space & Technology, Inc., a California Corporation, to be the company’s exclusive distributor for watercraft sales to the United States Department of Defense (DOD).
The Agreement provides Kelly Space & Technology, Inc. with a non-exclusive distributorship for other, non-DOD customers, not limited to the boundaries of the United States.
Kelly Space & Technology is a well established company that operates in San Bernadino, CA and has the sales connections and experience MIHI needs. No point in reinventing the wheel when you are already reinventing the paddle and the boat!
Kelly Space & Technology, Inc. (KST) is a privately held commercial aerospace systems and technology development company based at the San Bernardino International Airport (formerly Norton Air Force Base).
KST’s plan is to create and commercialize technologies that will open space to large-scale development and bring space usefully into the daily lives of everyday citizens. KST’s initial focus was on the development of a reusable launch system that would serve as an enabler for low-cost, routine access to space.
As market and investment climates have fluctuated widely over the years, KST has sought and obtained revenue from related activities, such as supporting NASA’s Space Transportation Architecture Studies (STAS) and Space Launch Initiative (SLI) with the ultimate goal of replacing the Space Shuttle. KST has also secured “Congressional Add” funding from the Department of Defense (DoD) to develop the Jet and Rocket Engine Test Site (JRETS) at the San Bernardino International Airport.
The agreement between the company and Kelly Space & Technology, Inc. will be effective for a period of five (5) years from the date of the signed agreement with an option for Kelly Space & Technology, Inc. to renew the agreement for an additional five (5) year period.
Kelly Space is a DOD contractor with substantial experience and acumen in dealing with Government contracting.
MIHI boats could fill an important niche in the defense market, and by forming a partnership with Kelly Space as the exclusive DOD distributor and sales organization, MIHI has the opportunity to penetrate this substantial and important market.
And don’t forget the Maritime Security Expo 2007 held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City on November 27th and 28th. Not only will MIHI be front and center as you enter the exhibition area, they will be showcasing their shiny – must have boats and they will be promoting their new distribution relationship with Kelly Space.
