“Lean, Green Machine”

Hybrid vehicles, or HEVs (hybrid electric vehicles), are powered by rechargeable battery packs within the engine, allowing the engine to act like a motor as well as an electric generator. The major benefit over widespread classic internal combustion engines is the fuel efficiency produced by hybrid engines. This technology is environmentally friendly and is paving the road to greener transportation. As more and more people are becoming environmentally aware, hybrid cars or hybrids as they are known are making their mark in the auto market place. As of mid-2007, HYBR was the only innovative company selling consumer ready electric-powered vehicles from its website (www.hybridtechnologies.com). Market trends demonstrate that sales are rising and the demand for hybrid cars and SUVs is getting stronger.

Shown on TV

March 3, 2008, at its Research & Development facility, in North Carolina, HYBR displayed the new line of lithium-powered vehicles to local news affiliate CBS-WBTV. Featured in the CBS-WBTV “Cars of the Future” Segment, Hybrid’s Lithium The CBS show producers and crew obtained the first film footage of the new, fast and agile Hybrid LiV™ REAPER military. The aggressive vehicle was created as a result of a request by US armed forces. The leading edge technology vehicle, along with other new LiV™ Series vehicles, will be exhibited at the New York International Auto Show, March 22-30, 2008.

Underlined in the program was HYBR’s ability to take popular vehicles and transform them into lithium fueled, eco-friendly machines, all developed at the North Carolina facility. CBS was told that to the company’s understanding, HYBR is the only company today capable of delivering all-electric vehicles that feature significant technological advancements with their proprietary battery management systems.

Price Reduction Over Oil

February 11, 2008 – HYBR announced substantial price reductions on the Smart Car, Mini Cooper, and the PT Cruiser. In contrast to the continual increase in gas prices, the reduction in lithium battery costs allow Hybrid to pass savings along to their customers. With fuel prices at record high levels and the global focus moving rapidly towards addressing pollution, the needs for sustainable, zero emission energy and more cost savings are ever more in demand. Management at HYBR foresees the lithium industry as one of the fastest growing segments within the global economy.

HYBR remains at the leading edge of designing and manufacturing alternative-fuel products, everything from scooters, bicycles, mopeds, motorcycles, to cars. Even a smart-home is being built as a potential revenue source.

The Smart Car

January, 2008, HYBR, along with models from America’s major automotive manufactures Chevrolet and Ford, presented its latest NASA Smart Car as part of Florida’s innovative Farm to Fuel program, headed by the Florida State Department of Agriculture’s Charles Bronson. The State of Florida presented a series of alternative fuel vehicles from various manufactures including CHEVROLET and FORD to the public. The purpose was to highlight automotive programs aimed at reducing emissions as well as the Farm to Fuel Program. HYBR featured the all-lithium Smart Car produced for NASA at the NATIONAL GOVERNORS SUMMIT ON ALTERNATIVE ENERGY IN TAMPA. This was part of a Government Program initiated by Hybrid to expand its National presence among US Political figures. The all-lithium NASA Smart Car has a range of more than 120 miles per charge at highway speeds with a planned 30 kWh battery pack on board.

Hybrid’s answer to the combustion Super Car is the L1X-75 SUPERCAR, being produced in California by Mullen Motors, the all-electric carbon fiber version. The all-lithium sports car should go from 0-60km/h in approximately 3.2 seconds.

Late last year HYBR joined the NASA Kennedy Space Center to offer the “Team Up – Once In a Lifetime Package” package to Sam’s Club Members. Participants were offered purchase of the Hybrid Smart Car and a behind-the-scenes VIP trip to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center to witness a shuttle launch first-hand. This unique gift package was offered for $35,000. The 2007 Hybrid Technologies lithium-powered Smart Car is a zero-emission vehicle and features cutting-edge technology from NASA, while being cool enough for A-list celebrities, including George Clooney, who owns a similar model. The national space center contributed space-based intelligence for the car’s advanced battery system.

“We’re offering the fully electric Smart Car to Sam’s Club members as it represents the latest in advanced lithium technology. This vehicle, originally developed under a Space Act Agreement with NASA, has created a strong following throughout environmental, celebrity and automotive circles.” said Richard Griffiths, Strategic Relations for Hybrid Technologies.” Griffiths expressed, “This Limited Edition STS-118 Smart Car will be the perfect addition for car collectors or environmentalists wanting to make a difference by driving a zero-emissions vehicle,”

It’s In The Battery

HYBR is involved in researching and developing the portable lithium battery power pack technology to model different cathode structures and optimize process parameters to obtain a single phase and pure material in industrial scale. In February, it announced a development of a new cathode material which will be incorporated into a Lithium Ion Polymer Battery that significantly increases operating voltage range and energy density. The company’s new Lithium Ion Polymer battery consists of a new cathode material with a “Superlattice Structure” allowing electric vehicles to be driven over 200 miles compared to the current 120 to 140 mile range. The pure material was produced in-house and has been synthesized at an industrial scale.

Features of the “Superlattice Structure” include:

* Less or zero exothermic reaction and safe.
* Wide voltage range from 4.4V to 2V.
* High Capacity 170 Ah/kg or more.
* Nontoxic and disposable.
* Less expensive.

HYBR’s in-house production of the “Superlattice Structure” results in a higher density and a higher optimization of the process parameters suitable for large batteries, used not only in electric vehicles but also in the development of “Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS)”.

The Company’s advanced battery technology offers some of the industry’s fastest charger systems. The high density and lightweight lithium-ion batteries can be charged by simply plugging them into a common household electrical outlet.

The lithium power system’s Advanced Drive System Technology consists of an integrated network of high performance components that is adaptable to multiple energy sources and is capable of powering a wide variety of end-user product applications.

$2.20 for 100 Miles

HYBR has signed contracts with NASA, the Canadian Ministry of Transportation, the City of New York, the US Navy, and Paratransit, a New York transportation company, among others.

The Company contracted its advanced lithium PT Cruiser model to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in late 2007. The vehicle was selected because of its zero-emissions, high capacity, rapid charge time and overall functionality for the EPA’s Near-Road Air Quality Study. The EPA’s Office of Research & Development (ORD) will use the PT Cruiser to study air pollutant concentrations alongside major roadways, which could be a health concern to people living and working nearby. The zero-emissions vehicle enables EPA’s research because mobile air quality measurements can be conducted without fear of “self pollution” as with all mobile sampling platforms powered by internal combustion engines.

Hybrid has partnered with ALITALIA for shipment to ITALY and is actively selecting other partnerships to distribute its PT cruiser, Mini Cooper and Smart car models.

The all-lithium vehicles from HYBR are quickly gaining Auto Industry and consumer notice. The company is pleased with its feature episode in the award winning History Channel series Modern Marvels showing some of its models. The Hybrid produced Mini Cooper has already gained massive international media attention from outlets such as CNN, Forbes, Popular Mechanics, and Wired magazine; as well as broadcast coverage throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. And making a bold impact at the 2007 New York International Auto Show was the highly publicized and breakthrough vehicle, the NYC all-lithium Taxi. The New York City Taxi and the Paratransit Taxi have received an overwhelming amount of attention from the media, and considerable political attention as well.

HYBR is leading in the development and marketing of lithium-powered products worldwide. With its proven technology, the company is now poised to set up a Dealer/Distributor network in North America and license its technology to other automotive manufacturers.
