Hybrid Technologies, Inc., (OTCBB: HYBR) was incorporated in Nevada in 2000 and is a development stage technology company that is focusing its resources and efforts on the development and marketing of lithium-powered vehicles and products world-wide, as well as on commercial and residential properties. By using its proprietary advanced lithium management and battery balancing system, HYBR converts gas-emission vehicles to electric power and is now marketing several models of all-electric lithium ion battery-powered vehicles. Through its subsidiary, Zingo, Inc., HYBR offers telecommunications to business and residential customers utilizing voice over Internet protocol (VOIP) technology. It concentrates on the provision of these services in Canada, Central and Latin America, Europe, and various other countries in Asia. The Company was formerly known as Whistler Investments, Inc., and changed its name to Hybrid Technologies, Inc. in 2005. Hybrid Technologies is based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Everything from scooters, bicycles, mopeds, motorcycles, cars and homes are being converted successfully to zero-emission, lithium-powered vehicles and facilities, and HYBR is capable of fitting almost any vehicle with a lithium ion-powered engine. The Company already offers a Smart Car, Chrysler Crossfire, Mini Cooper and PT Cruiser with this technology, as well as an ATV. New Series of All-Electric Vehicles (EVs)
One of Hybrid Technologies’ newest offerings is a converted Toyota, the Yaris. Named the “LiV™ WISE,” the eco-friendly lithium-ion battery-powered vehicle is marketed as the Company’s entry-level electric car and is priced at just under $40,000. The LiV™ Wise has a range of 90 to 100 miles with a driving range up to 120 miles and speeds in excess of 75 mph. The vehicle introduced Hybrid Tech’s new LiV™ series, its own line of all-electric lithium ion battery-powered vehicles, at the recent New York International Auto Show (March, 2008).
Hybrid Tech’s new LiV™ series of lithium-ion-powered models include the Mini Cooper (dubbed the LiV Flash, and priced at $57,500), the Smart ForTwo (the LiV Dash; $43,500), and the Chrysler PT Cruiser (the LiV Surge; $55,000). Performance-wise, all of Hybrid’s conversions travel along emission- and noise-free for approximately 100 miles or so and top out somewhere between 70 and 90 mph. The LiV™ RUSH sports car has a top speed of 120 mph and is turning heads with its 105 horsepower going from 0-60 in seconds.
Besides passenger vehicles, Hybrid Technologies also sells the LiV™ RYDER chopper, a chopper-style motorcycle that can go as fast as 74 miles per hour. It features a monster 300 rear tire for the dedicated motorcyclist and the ultimate riding experience. Also at the New York Show was the Hybrid Tech lithium-powered military vehicle, the LiV™ REAPER, mounted with a 50-calibre gun and grenade launcher, and an all-terrain vehicle, the LiV™ BULLDOG ATV. Hybrid Tech plans to offer a division of its Company for production of the custom-designed electric wheelchairs.
