Results reflect analysis of the IMPACT surveys in 2001 and 2002. IMPACT 2001 questioned a total of 13,762 adult consumers in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, the UK and the US. IMPACT 2002 surveyed 4,531 adult consumers in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK and the US. In both years, the sample was random and not targeted at patients with specific medical conditions or a predisposition towards Internet usage. All interviews were conducted by telephone.
