Harvard Learning Center prepares a student to knock the socks off their SAT and ACT test in their test preparation center or if they have the self-discipline by accessing the preparation course online.
There are many books out there on scholarships but few describe the offerings of the institutions themselves which are typically the MOST financially attractive.
When you look at the value of these packages, you realize the cost associated with preparing a student to take the SAT and ACT is miniscule and you understand why students and parents make this standard procedure before attending college.
This is a tremendous growth area. One incredibly important component in receiving a merit award is an SAT/ACT test score. Some of these institutional awards are worth over $100,000.00. For example the University of Texas at Dallas awards four years tuition, room, board, books, a $2,000 a month stipend, junior year abroad, and fabulous trips including a week in Santa Fe to attend the Santa Fe Opera, a week in D.C. to examine the workings of government … and that is just the freshman year.
Putting it in perspective means that any serious student needs ACT/SAT test preparation whether it is for admissions to a college or searching for tuition money. For the good student it bumps them up to the stratospheric range: Ivy League or Full Ride – sorry no merit scholarships at the Ivy League. Admissions are so tough everyone would qualify. But that is precisely where the next tier of schools comes in and competes directly with the Ivy League by offering Full Rides. It’s a whole new ball game for most parents and the landscape is vastly different from their application process!

Harvard Learning Center Provides the Best Dollar for Dollar Value in the Admissions Competition Game
Harvard Learning Center understands college admissions offices use ACT and SAT to confirm a student’s grade or class rank. While Admissions offices have some familiarity with some schools in terms of historical experience, the more than 3,000 colleges and universities in the United States are not familiar with MOST high schools represented in the applications. SAT and ACT scores provide a means by which a student’s grades can be confirmed. ACT and SAT scores are becoming crucial in student evaluation.
