Can you even begin to fathom the number of Science Fairs in this country? There are 55 million K-12 students in the U.S. alone, based on U.S. census bureau figures. There are 95,615 public elementary and secondary schools with an additional 29,273 private elementary and secondary schools. As of 2003, 100% of all public schools in the U.S. had internet access. It is estimated that ninety percent of these schools have Science Fairs.

Welcome Back to School and to a Successful New Year! Just as the school year has a new beginning, you may have noticed, so has our website. We are happy to be able to provide a number of new resources for teachers. In September, we will begin to offer a lesson plan of the month covering all aspects of Renewable Energy including Solar and Wind as well as Hydrogen energy. As many of you are preparing for the year ahead, Renewable Energy issues abound in the news providing wonderful opportunities to bring real world issues into the classroom.
We have also added a Student Corner where your students can get ideas for science fair projects and technical help with science related hobbies. We would like to feature successful student projects and we will be posting examples of student projects in the Student Corner.
