StockGuru Blog: Delta Mining and Exploration – Montana, The Treasure State

Link to See the Property – A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words DMXP Stock Guru Profile OTCBB: DMXP Delta Mining and Exploration has developed an incredible slide show. Link Here. This slide show allows you to view the mining property for the Homestead Mine. There is an old homestead cabin on the prairie land where the mining company holds its stake. You can just imagine what those homesteaders would have thought had they known their property had the potential for diamonds! This slide show will share at a glance what no words could describe. Link Here for a Mapquest Image of Lewsitown, Montana, which is the closest town to the Homestead target. When Maj. William H. Lewis, established Fort Lewis at Lewistown in 1874, none could have imagined diamonds on those rolling plains. One nickname for Montana is “The Treasure State.” As you can see from the Mapquest Image of Lewistown, Montana, this property is very close to Alberta, Canada. Explorers have already found about 600 kimberlite pipes in Canada. Delta Mining has the good fortune of sharing similar geological features to the mines in Canada but the are located in Montana. Being in Montana provides Delta Mining and Exlporation a huge advantage. A recent article in Geotimes noted that about 10 to 20 percent of Canadian kimberlite pipes are diamondiferous — a percentage similar to that of diamond fields in other countries. However, Canadian kimberlite pipes that contain diamonds tend to have them in very high concentrations and quality, which make them “worthwhile to mine, even under the difficult conditions,” noted the recent report in GeoTimes which examined the diamond discoveries of Canada. The good news Delta Mining and Exploration that in Montana unlike Canada supplies, materials and labor are readily and easily available. In Canada year’s worth of supplies need to travel over a 350-kilometer-long ice road (75 percent of which is over frozen lakes) reconstructed annually each winter. Phase Two Exploration for Delta Mining consisted of the Grassrange District Properties in Montana and produced a detailed mapping and collection of samples for diamond indicator mineral analysis. This report focused on the Homestead (as seen in the slide show) and Three Buttes kimberlite bodies and the Teigen Butte and Rattlesnake Butte targets. Delta Mining and Exploration Corp. controls six properties totaling 7,554 acres which is approximately eleven square miles and every inch is in Montana Delta Mining and Exploration received a report on the samples processed from their Montana target. The micro-probe analysis to determine kimberlite provenance and/or specific mineral chemistry was positive. Link here for report. Stay tuned: There is so much to tell about this exciting prospect that Stock Guru will be checking in several times a day on this company so you can learn about their advantages in their quest for a U.S. diamond mine!
