Data Call allows clients to create their own Digital Signage advertising on the fly, through a portal on its website, www.datacalltech.com.
Clients are able to select from Data Call the text feeds they would like to display on television sets at their establishments.
The only requirements our clients must have are
1) a supported third party video decoder box,
2) an Internet connection.
I think the price is affordable for most companies who are becoming more market savvy.
The third party video decoder boxes usually cost between $500 and $2,000 and are marketed by MagicBox, Inc. (”Magicbox”), Texas Digital Systems, Inc., ChyTV, Scala, Adaptive LED, 3M Company, Keywest Technologies and Vertigo X Media. They are about the size of a standard VCR and convert the digital signal received from the Internet into text and graphics which can be displayed on a standard television screen.
As of May 15, 2007, Data Call had approximately 25 clients who pay subscription fees in connection with their Direct Link feeds, which subscription fees totaled $58,009 for the year ended December 31, 2006, and $8,040 for the three months ended March 31, 2007.
