Take a Look at Who Is Behind this Dynamic Company!

Ephren W. Taylor II
Chairman & CEO
Ephren Taylor has been hailed internationally as a wunderkind of the business world due to his unparalleled accomplishment of becoming the youngest African American CEO of any publicly-held company. He has become known as a “Market Maker,” a Wealth Engineer, and in economic development circles as a high-performance visionary with the ability to make things happen, when nobody else can. Although this recognition has opened many opportunities that directly benefit the company, there is much more to the man than media soundbytes indicate.

Taylor was asked by the board of City Capital to take over the reins as CEO in Spring 2006, while the company was still a Business Development Company (BDC). Under Taylors leadership, City Capital immediately began expanding its vision to one of quantum growth. By the end of that first year the company had acquired the Kansas City Historic Jazz District properties and begun sales; acquired Goshen with 6 billion cubic feet of gas reserves, and was in final negotiations for the Peregrine Falcon subdivision property (in which the city provided the land, clearing and all infrastructure). Mr. Taylor also secured a $50,000,000 equity line agreement with Rochester-based Lucian Group, to help accelerate the company’s growth. In January 2007, City Capital shed its BDC status to be better prepared to take advantage of additional opportunities for expansion.

This record of accomplishment would be impressive for a man of 40, even 50, but Ephren Taylor is not yet 30.

W. Emerson Brantley III
Director
Emerson Brantley brings impressive capabilities and solid credentials to the position of Chief Communications Officer for City Capital Corp. In addition to first-rate skills as communicator, he brings over 30 years of expertise and national success in marketing and business funding. Serving as a member of the senior management team for a publishing and training firm, his marketing campaigns propelled the company through 1500% growth, two Inc. 500 listings, a successful merger, and a 132,000,000 IPO. As City Capital expands its operations globally, Brantleys vision and focus on quantum business growth combined with a broad business understanding will become a prime factor for ensuring long-term success.

Mr. Brantley received his Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Florida State University in 1976, and holds international professional listings in Who’s Who of Business Leaders Worldwide and Certified Marketing Executives. He has served on many civic, business and non-profit boards, including as Past President of Sales & Marketing Executives.
