Sonora Resources Corp., a Las Vegas-based company focused on acquisitions and exploration of international silver and gold mining properties, recently issued an update on its work on a comprehensive series of ground based IP, magnetometry, and radiometric surveys at the company’s Los Amoles property in the State of Sonora, Mexico.
The company said the location has a history of previous mapping and reconnaissance-style sampling, as well as historic data that suggests the region may have epithermal silver-gold deposits of interest.
“We are extremely encouraged by the progress being made within our overall exploration program at Los Amoles,” Juan Miguel Ríos Gutiérrez, the company’s president and CEO stated in the press release. “To date, the work has been performed as scheduled and on budget relative to our initial expectations.”
So far, the company reports that more than 45 historic workings and greater than 20 gold/silver veins have been identified throughout much of the Rosario target area. After completing the analysis of the geophysics program, the company has scheduled additional fieldwork to establish priority locations for a subsequent drill sampling program.
