Solar Energy Initiatives, Inc. (SNRY.OB) to Launch New National Marketing Plan at Upcoming Expo

Solar Energy Initiatives, Inc., a diversified provider of solar solutions with operating divisions in solar project development, solar education, and distribution, announced yesterday that it would be kicking off a new national sales campaign with a focus on commercial rooftop solar opportunities.

SNRY Solar, Solar Energy Initiatives’ operating group, will be presenting at the International Roofing Expo (IRE) being held on February 22-24, 2010 in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is the largest trade show for the roofing industry bringing in 7,472 roofers and industry professionals last year. The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) sponsors the IRE.

In describing the possibilities, Chris Wirth, Chief Marketing Officer of Solar Energy Initiatives stated, “Rooftop solar is a key revenue stream for our business model. Our market intelligence has identified 8.5 billion square feet of large commercial rooftops nationally.” Roughly 2 million square feet of those rooftops are found in states that offer incentives for those who choose to install solar energy. This offers a potential market of 15,000 megawatts (MW). By engaging with NRCA members who represent more than 4,000 of the best roofing contractors across the country, Solar Energy Initiatives can look to build profitable partnerships with some of the best in the roofing industry.

Building partnerships with trade associations is a key component of the 2010 SNRY Solar sales and marketing plan. Next week SNRY Solar will be launching its marketing campaign that focuses on connecting with building professionals and specialty contractors who have an interest in solar energy.

There is a lot to come from SNRY Solar in the weeks ahead. The company plans to reveal their new brand identity, introduce a new program for dealers, launch the new www.solarenergy.com beta site and expand its distribution of photovoltaic (PV) and solar water heating (Thermal) products.
