Socialwise, Inc. announced today that they have now signed world-renowned skateboarder, Ryan Sheckler, to a contract as a spokesman to promote its online bill payment solution, “BillMyParents.” Sheckler, a professional skateboarder, is a teen favorite as proven with his Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Favorite Male Athlete for 2010. Mr. Sheckler will be joining his friend and colleague, Rob Dyrdek, who was also announced earlier this week as spokesman for BillMyParents by Socialwise.
Sheckler burst onto the scenes at the age of 13 with his gold medal performance at the X Games and Gravity Games that have gained worldwide notoriety. Other prestigious awards of Mr. Sheckler include first place at the Vans Triple Crown Street Challenge and being the only individual to ever win the Dew Action Sports Tour championship 3 years in a row. Outside of his many gold medals and professional accomplishments, Mr. Sheckler has also created The Sheckler Foundation to make a difference in the lives of children, families and communities in need, as well as injured action sports athletes.
Jim Collas, President and CEO of BillMyParents was quoted as saying: “I am excited to have Ryan endorsing and promoting the BillMyParents brand as he is a truly talented rising star. Just last week, Ryan won the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards for Best Male Athlete, beating out LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Shaun White.” Sheckler was also quoted with regards to his excitement to be signed with BillMyParents and what a positive impact he believes their services have on teens.
