Medical Alarm Concepts Holding, Inc., manufacturer of the MediPendant™, the first fully-monitored medical alarm system that allows the user to speak and listen directly through the pendant, today announced that studio production for a new MediPendant™ television commercial has been scheduled in conjunction with Harrington Multi Media Marketing. Shooting of the two-minute television commercial will begin this week in Harrington’s 32,000 square-foot studio facility in the Tampa Bay area, with various remote shoots of testimonials for the MediPendant™ occurring over the following days.
“We plan to undertake a two-pronged approach to celebrity endorsement for the MediPendant™ product. The team has hired an Emmy award-winning news anchor and reporter to serve as talent for the commercial that will be shot this week. We expect to begin airing the new television commercial on a nationwide basis by the end of next month,” commented Howard Teicher, CEO of Medical Alarm Concepts. “Additionally, we continue to negotiate with a nationwide celebrity to endorse this revolutionary product. Celebrity endorsement is a proven method to market products in this category, and is an avenue we definitely wish to pursue.”
Under the terms of the recently signed agreement, Harrington will finance and produce multiple television spots and an Internet-based marketing campaign for the MediPendant™. Harrington will be responsible for all of its costs in connection with the marketing of the products. This will include financing all television media and purchasing units from the Company at a pre-arranged price. Medical Alarm Concepts will book all revenue from the joint venture. In addition, the Company has also initiated another marketing program on the Internet with a different organization, which will launch within the next month as well.
A standard PERS system does not enable the user to speak and listen through the pendant, thus limiting them to a small area in their home. There is always the risk that the user will not be heard by the call center operator if they are not within a short range of the base station. MediPendant’s™ patented two-way voice technology enables the user to speak and listen directly through the pendant no matter where the user may be in and around their home.
