Skinny Nutritional Corp. (SKNY.OB) Dramatically Expands Mid-Atlantic Distribution through Turkey Hill Minit Markets Agreement

Skinny Nutritional Corp. announced today that they have signed an agreement to now have Skinny Water available at more than 250 Turkey Hill Minit Markets locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest.

Operating for more than 40 years, Turkey Hill, one of five convenience store divisions in the United States operated by The Kroger Co (NYSE: KR), currently has over 250 stores in Pennsylvania, seven stores in the Columbus, Ohio area, and one store in Martinsville, Indiana. Most of the Turkey Hill Minit Markets are full-service retailers offering 24-hour service and a large selection of snacks and beverages as well as gasoline.

The management teams for both Turkey Hill and Skinny Water plan on growing the relationship and creating brand awareness through a variety of promotions anticipated to include ad sales, displays, sampling events, and joint promotions.

In addition to today’s news, Skinny Water was recently featured on Fox Business News on May 24, 2010 with Board Advisory Member, Pat Croce, and Skinny Water Chief Financial Officer, Don McDonald, being interviewed in a segment entitled “Water Wars.” Topics of discussion included manufacturing, components, and the foundation of the Skinny Water in 2006. Mr. Croce and Mr. McDonald were also interviewed on “The Wall Street Journal Online” the following day. There they discussed Skinny Water’s push for health-conscious consumers as they move away from sugar and carbonated beverages to enhanced water beverages. They also discussed how Skinny Water became a pioneer in the zero-calorie, zero-sugar enhanced water category.
