Silverado Gold Mines Ltd. (SLGLF.OB) Strikes Gold at Workman’s Bench

Silverado Gold Mines has just announced the completion of nearly five thousand feet of exploratory drilling, spread over 16 drill holes at its Workman’s Bench prospect target. The first half of 2008 saw the expansion of drilling over the entire extent of the targeted land’s gold vein systems.

Cores from two of the holes yielded visible gold and, in another section of the claim, large samples of stibnite (a metalloid also known as antimony) and gold-mineralized rock were collected. Testing on the samples revealed as much as a favorable 2.02 troy ounces of gold per ton.

These results confirm the high-grade nature of the claim’s gold mineralization, and have been verified by professional geologist and VP of exploration at Silverado, Dr. Karsten Eden. Duplicate samples have also been sent to both Alaska Assay Laboratories and ALS Chemex in Fairbanks in order to further legitimize the claim. With the continuation of exploration at the Workman’s Bench claim, the company seems bound to capitalize on the rich deposits that lay beneath.
