RemoteMDx, Inc. (OTCBB: RMDX) and its subsidiary SecureAlert announced that their $3.5 million device, the TrackerPAL House Arrest, will be introduced to SecureAlert’s preferred customers in the criminal justice system this week, to be delivered in March.
TrackerPAL HouseArrest is as the name implies. The device uses the same advanced features as the original TrackerPAL, used to monitor convicted offenders in the criminal system, but is enhanced with additions that allow the offender to be tracked inside his home and tracks the offender if he leaves his home.
“With the new features imbedded in the TrackerPAL HouseArrest, we will now be able to bid on numerous contracts throughout the United States,” stated Gary Shelton, president of Midwest Monitoring, in a press release. “This combines in a single device the ability to do both house arrest, of which there are over 100,000, and mobile tracking — something the market has wanted, but does not have today.”
RemoteMDx recently acquired Midwest Monitoring and Court Programs, Inc., both which have more than 40 years of offender management operations; TrackerPAL HouseArrest will allow the companies to increase their offender management bases while continuing to monitor the daily lives of offenders, and offer drug and alcohol testing as well as employment counseling for $15 per day.
